Pet cat makes 800 mile return trip to family after going missing in Yellowstone

A pet cat has made an incredible 800-mile return trip to its family after going missing in Yellowstone National Park.

The cat, named Mittens, was reported missing by her family on July 4th after she disappeared from their campsite in the park. Her family searched for her for days, but could not find her.

Two weeks later, Mittens showed up at the doorstep of her family's home in Minnesota. She was thin and tired, but otherwise unharmed.

Mittens' family is overjoyed to have her back. They say they are amazed that she was able to find her way home after traveling such a long distance.

It is unclear how Mittens made her way back to Minnesota. Some experts believe that she may have followed a river or stream back to her home territory.

Mittens' story is a reminder that even when pets go missing, there is always hope that they will find their way home.
